Call for Submissions
ARSO is a single track workshop, aiming to provide world class researchers, engineers, investors, economists, and representatives of industry and government with a forum to discuss cutting-edge robotics technologies, business opportunities, and their impacts on human society. Topics are all cutting-edge robotics technologies.ARSO 2018 focuses in particular on AI and its impact on future robotic systems. We welcome contributions that fall in the following special sessions:
- Legal and ethical regulations for AI and robotic systems
- HRI and social robotics
- The role of AI in the implementation of cognitive robots
- Industrial robotics
- Intelligent robots for rehabilitation
- Manufacturing
- Service and assistance
- Healthcare and medical applications
- Transportation
- Search and rescue
- Entertainment
- Education
Submission Information
We accept the following contributions:- Full papers of six pages, with up to two extra pages at additional charge (eight)
- Abstract submissions (1-2 pages)
Full papers may be accepted for oral or poster presentation, all accepted full papers will be published with DOI and ISBN in the conference proceedings, and included in IEEEXplore. Abstract submissions may be accepted for oral or poster presentation, but will not be included in the conference proceedings. Accepted papers will be grouped or assigned to the special sessions depending on the topic selected at the time of the submission.

Selected papers will be invited to submit to the Special Issue based on IEEE ARSO 2018, hosted by De Gruyter Open Access. The authors submitting their full revised version of papers to the special issue will comply the general scope of the journal. The submitted papers will undergo peer review process before they can be accepted. The deadline for the submission to the Special Issue is January 5th, 2019.
